Martin Ousley is settling in as our new Workforce Development Manager and we have recruited our Finance & Operational Manager who will start in June. Nicky Pleming, our Participatory Projects Manager has wonderful news and will be taking maternity leave in late August / early September. We'll be bringing in cover for her role. On 30 June, our Director, Nick Howdle will also be leaving us to join Youth Music as their Director of Programmes. Nick was Sound Connections' first employee, joining the company in 2003. While it is a huge loss to Sound Connections, it is also a significant opportunity – strengthening our links with Youth Music. And it’s a deserved recognition of how Nick has developed Sound Connections and himself in his six years in London. Our Trustees will be looking at our next steps in recruiting Nick's replacement over the next few weeks.
